Michael Simmons, DMD

Dr. Simmons graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School in 1981. After 5 years in general dental practice, he returned to UCLA for post-doctoral advanced training in the more complex orofacial pain and dysfunction problems, studying in the dental and then the medical school. Since then, he has been part-time faculty at UCLA teaching and doing research.

He is devoted to dentistry and every few years focuses on a new area of dentistry in order to stay abreast with current developments. These areas include cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, orthodontics, as well as TMJ, occlusion, and orofacial pain. He is a member of the ADSM (Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine).

Outside of dentistry, Michael is married with three children, all boys. He enjoys many sports, including squash, racquetball, and badminton. His wife, Pamela, is a professional singer and now attends a cantorial school.
